Global Festa JAPAN 2025 is Japan’s largest international cooperation event, returning to Shinjuku with the theme “Change the World With Your Step – Plus One for International Cooperation.” Now in its 34th edition, the festival brings together government agencies, NGOs, NPOs, companies, and international organizations to showcase their efforts toward global cooperation and the SDGs. Visitors can enjoy performances on the main stage, hands-on workshops, cultural experiences like traditional costumes, and exhibitions including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs photo contest and the JANIC student idea contest. Food trucks serving world cuisines and interactive programs make it a fun and educational experience for families, students, and global-minded visitors. The event is also streamed online, allowing participation from anywhere in Japan.

Held in the heart of Tokyo’s historic Asakusa district, the carnival transforms Umamichi Street and Kaminarimon Street into a lively stage filled with dazzling costumes, energetic samba dancers, and elaborately decorated floats.
